Search Engine Optimisation

The difference between organic and paid search engine position

Organic search is the natural listing achieved in a search engine by submitting the website and through various strategies getting it to climb up the rankings. The search engines do not charge for submitting your website in their organic searches. A paid search engine position allows you to "Bid" for a position based on the keyword you choose. We usually build websites around one main keyword or keyword phrase per page. With paid placement one can use hundreds of keywords and spread the net wider. The cost of paid placement is rising which is why we are always updating our oraganic search skills.

Submit your website to search engines every month....WHY?

Unless you dramatically change your website each month there is no need to. We see a lot of adverts that tell you they will submit your websitel, every month, to over 400 search engines. It is a waste of MONEY! Time would be better spent tweaking, doing competitor analysis , link building and finding niche directories. Once your website is submitted, it is in the system. The search engines send out their little 'searchbots' (search tools) and you can see them coming into your site through your statistics. If they don't then you resubmit. When you have a listing the search engines will return to check your website on a regular basis.

What is search engine friendly?

This is making sure that we design your website responsibily and ethically based on the best practises of the search engines. The way we build a website is always aimed at two types of visitors, the person viewing the website and the search engine reading your text to add your content to its database.
